Students look forward to a night to remember

On Saturday, April 29, 2023, Warren Central Student council will host prom at the Indiana Roof Ballroom.

The theme for this year is “All of the Lights” by Kanye West and Rihanna.

“For the theme, we sent out three polls on our instagram page. The initial poll was everyone giving their idea. The student council advisors and officers then picked our top four. We then sent out two more polls so the student body could vote. It is significant because the theme is all of the lights and we want it to show the lights throughout the ballroom,” student council President Ke’vae King said.

The ballroom will be decked out in pink, gold, and ivory.

”One of the things the Student Council is in charge of is the decoration for prom; that is how we plan to add elements of flair. For example, we will be having an ice luge,” King said.

Warren Central has held prom at Indiana Roof Ballroom for years, and that tradition continues. Tickets are being sold from April 11 to April 14 in the east cafeteria during lunch for $60 per person, and juniors and seniors are eligible to buy tickets. Students must have their ID to purchase the tickets and to get into the venue. There are a limited number of 900 tickets, so get them as soon as possible.

Guests are allowed, but seniors only are allowed to file a guest form. Guest forms were available from March 1 through March 22. The deadline for all forms was March 24 at the end of the school day.

Students should come dressed to impress and be very formal. Dinner, which will be a five-course meal, will begin at 6:30 p.m. Students must arrive by 10 p.m. and may park at Embassy Suites, but be prepared to pay for parking, about $12 an hour.

There will be a variety of music, which includes a DJ. DJ Smith will be there once again, ready to make the night even more spectacular.
