Matthew Dingman and Ms.Brown

What can you tell me about the construction so far?

“What I can tell you is that at the beginning of the school year, it’s going to impact classrooms in the career center and The D hallway upstairs. That’s where it’s gonna start. As it continues on, it will start down the G hallway. They are basically redoing classrooms and updating everything that's there.  This includes the systems, like heating and air conditioning, plumbing, and all those kinds of mechanical things, and then updating the look of the room.”

Q: When exactly is construction going to start?

“The next phase of construction is scheduled to be at the end of July or the beginning of August, but it is all contingent.”

Q: What are the different ways students will get to their classes?

“The initial phase three will not impact hallway traffic much. The commons and the J hallway will be opening up again. It should be much easier to get from place to place.”

Q: What effects will there be on the school?

“It will be similar to what it has been the last couple of years with construction. There will be different hallways that are shut down.”

Q:  What are more things you're planning on adding to the school?

“The big changes will be that the offices will be in that new part up front, the counseling services center will move up, and then all the classrooms will start getting updated in the high school and the career center.

Q: Do you have a prediction about when this will be done/ how long it will take?

“It's a five-year project and we're three years into it, so we still have a couple more years.”
