Good Afternoon Warren Scholars, Families, and Staff,
We have a couple of important announcements for the week of April 16th.
This is a busy and exciting time of year as we enjoy warmer weather, spring sports, and a variety of fun and engaging end-of-year events. It’s also a critical, and sometimes stressful, period for our 3rd through 8th-grade students and teachers as they prepare for the Indiana State Assessment, ILEARN, which begins next week. Our teachers have done an exceptional job identifying and teaching the essential skills and standards that will be assessed, and our students have shown great dedication by making their learning a top priority. It is important that our students show up each day with their best attitude and effort to show off their hard work! Parents and caregivers, I have linked a couple of resources below to assist with understanding and supporting your child during ILEARN.

Just a reminder that we have our next IMMUNIZATION CLINIC tomorrow, Thursday, April 17, 2025, from 3:00 - 6:00 at Moorhead Community Resource Center. Indiana Immunization Coalition will provide this clinic to accommodate immunizations required for school-age children. While this is a free event, families are asked to register ahead of time. The registration link for the immunization clinic is patients.vaxcare.com/registration. After clicking the link, enter the enrollment code IN65942, and select Warren Schools- 4/17/25.
Also, Moorhead Community Resource Center will be hosting its annual EASTER EGG EXTRAVAGANZA tomorrow, Thursday, April 17th from 5 PM - 7 PM for our preschool and elementary students and families. This free outdoor event will feature fun activities, haircuts, a petting zoo, live DJ, face painting, and more! Don’t forget to bring your Easter baskets for the Easter egg hunt.
One of Warren’s proudest traditions is our commitment to and celebration of the Arts. Next week, Warren Central High School will host the Department of Fine Arts Art Show Opening Reception on
Wednesday, April 23rd, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m., with student recognition beginning at 6:30 p.m.
In addition, our Elementary District Art Show will open on Monday, April 28th at the Porter Service Center (9150 East Rawles Avenue). The exhibit will be open daily from 2:30 to 7:00 p.m. through Friday, May 2nd.
