The Warren Central boys swimming team has been doing well this season so far. The boys have been putting in a lot of work as a team.

“The season has been fine, tiring, but fine,” sophomore Garrett Strunk said.

The boys swim team is working on trying harder and working to make a better outcome as a team.

“We somewhat need to improve on effort in some groups.” Strunk said.

There are a few lead swimmers on the boys swim team. They do well and help to lead the team.

“Some standouts are, Josep Luik, Mary Nosek, Landon and Riley Bryk, Jeff Bray, Uriel Gallegos, and some others,” Strunk said.

The boys swim team has made some growth this season. They have been doing well at meets working together as a team and have more of a  team.

“Well, we've gotten more people [on] the team, there's been more success in meets, we've essentially improved most to all of our times.” Strunk said.

Major moments for the boys swimming team include when one of their top swimmers helped get the team to success. This helps the team in the improvement and accomplishment.

“Well, there is the fact that Josep Luik has made the state championship about 2 years in a row, most of us did extremely well at the county meet,” Strunk said.

Looking ahead, the boys swim team is excited to bring in new members to the swim while also appreciating the ones who helped build the future.

“I’m looking forward to new faces, and will remember the ones who left, including Josep Luik, (this is his last season, among others),” Strunk said.
