A24 Studio presents an anti-superhero movie that is about an aging Chinese immigrant whose reality snaps during the aforementioned IRS interrogation. This movie may not sound that interesting at first, but once the trailer came out for the film, it changed everyone’s perspective on the movie. By the name of the film, “Everything Everywhere All At Once” one can believe that the film will have familiar blends of science fiction elements, like the concept of a multi-verse and split-consciousness.
What can be gathered from the trailer is that this film will follow Evelyn Wang (Michelle Yeoh) a Chinese immigrant who can’t seem to finish her taxes. At the same time, she will need to help save the multiverse. In the trailer, Mr. Wang Evelyn Wang’s husband said to her “You can access all their memories, their emotions, even their skills,” meaning that throughout the multiverse there are thousands of different Evelyns and each of them has a special technique that will help her on her journey. He warns her that “There’s a great evil spreading throughout the many-verses, and you may be our only chance of stopping it.”
This film will be directed by the duo Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, collectively known as Daniels. This movie is the first feature from Daniels since 2016’s “Swiss Army Man,” the beloved experimental feature that starred Paul Dano opposite Daniel Radcliffe as a sentient corpse. This time, Daniels has plugged women characters into their insane thrill ride. The movie also stars Jamie Lee Curtis who will play a villainous IRS interrogator.
One of the biggest things about this film is the soundtrack and who will be a part of it. The full soundtrack will have 49 tracks and will feature big names in music like Mitski, David Byrne, André 3000, Randy Newman, and Moses Sumney.
