BROCKHAMPTON has announced bad news involving the group's separation

BROCKHAMPTON is a band that makes music of the hip hop and R&B genre. The members of the BROCKHAMPTON band include Kevin Abstract, Ameer Vann, Matt Champion, and Bearface. BROCKHAMPTON is compared to artists like Frank Ocean or Tyler The Creator and is most known for their single “Sugar” and the entire “Saturation III” album. This band is releasing their seventh and final album, “The Family,” following their 2021 penultimate album “ROADRUNNER: NEW LIGHT, NEW MACHINE.” It is their first and last album following the announcement of the band's indefinite hiatus on Jan. 14, 2022. After the band’s final live performance at Coachella on April 16, 2022, a video was played on stage with a message at the end that read “THE FINAL ALBUM 2022.” The video was later uploaded onto their official YouTube channel titled, “MESSAGE FROM BROCKHAMPTON.” Now that the teasers are over “The Family” finally dropped and is expected to hold some bangers.

The BROCKHAMPTON band was on the verge of breaking up as they said they'd do in April, but Abstract saw to it that we got one more full-length album from the group. “The Family” is a perfect mix of mellow and booming, it is catchy, but also mindful. Abstract did most of the work on the album, it is an explanation and the group's thoughts on their recent breakup. In the first few tracks, he uses songs like “37th” and “Gold Teeth ” to inform that the reason for the group's breakup was the music industry. It is hard to mix business with friendship, and it shows in other tracks like “All That” where he lets us know that even broken up the group is still family and he misses them. When you look back at his old music videos, you notice that so much has fallen apart compared to now. The rest of the album talks about different altercations leading to their ultimate decision. He tells us how he was competing with the other members in “The Family,” and in “Any Way You Want Me,” he explains how the band's relationship became so toxic. In the last track, “BROCKHAMPTON” he confirms their separation with his last words “the show is over get up out your seats.”

The album is a good representation of how adding business and work into your friendships can break them. The album has a lot of feelings, It teaches lessons about parting ways and the guilt felt afterward. If you are only there for a good listen, it also has a wide variety of music, instruments, and vocals. It switches beats and mixes up different types of rap into one album. To put it in simplest terms, “The Family” is everything that the BROCKHAMPTON fans expected it to be.
