“Overwatch 2” players have waited since the game's release and they will be getting a bunch of new content in the season 2 update. With that said, here is a rundown of everything that is happening.
To start it off, the new season update will contain new characters. “Overwatch 2” Season 1 started things off right, they introduced three new characters to the game - Sojourn, Junker Queen, and Kiriko, who can be unlocked through the Season 1 Battle Pass. This season, the developers of Blizzard have added another character to their roster, the 36th dual-form hero - Ramattra. Ramattra is a Tank Hero, made to bring more hard-hitting attacks and damage-absorbing options for players to select. The game developers put a lot of effort into his transforming ability, as his Omnic and Nemesis Form allow players to have more freedom in going about the battle in different ways. Players will be able to unlock the new Hero through the “Overwatch 2” Season 2 Battle Pass. He will be unlocked at Tier 55 of the free Battle Pass, but those who pay for the premium version will get the hero immediately. If you miss out, you will be able to get this character in the game's new special challenges.
Next up is the new map and events. Just like how season 1 brought players the “Wrath of the Bride Halloween event,” we are expecting a character or map-altering in the form of a limited-timemap-altering limited-time festive event this season. Not just that, but in “Overwatch 2” Season 1, it brought many new maps to the game, as well as a new game mode so it’s great to see that the developers are pushing to release more.
Last but not least, the skins are an important part of the game. This season players will be unlocking over 30+ new skins for heroes, including a new mythic skin as the final battle pass tier. Last season it was Genji who got the final tier, and there is no telling who's going to get it this time.
That's all for “Overwatch 2” Season 2, but the game developers are still working on season 2 and more seasons to come. They've teased new characters, map events, and even a new PvE story mode.
