December 8 Update Graphic

December 8, 2021

Good Afternoon Warren Students, Families, and Staff,

We have a few important announcements for the week of December 8th.

As we head into our last two weeks of this calendar year and our first semester, I want to commend our students and staff for their inCREdible energy, efforts, and #WarrenWill. I am very proud to see the great things happening in our classrooms each and every day, and I am looking forward to a positive finish to 2021.

This time of year is also a reminder that cold and winter weather is more likely. In the event of inclement weather, we will utilize delays, school closures, and the use of eLearning days when the safety of students and staff is compromised by weather and travel conditions. We will communicate any changes to the normal day-to-day schedule via ParentSquare, Canvas, District website, social media, and through local media outlets. Please make sure your contact information is updated in ParentVue to ensure you receive updated information.

MSD Warren Township is excited to be holding an Educator Hiring Extravaganza on Tuesday, December 14th, from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. This IN PERSON open house will be held at the Warren Education Community Center at 975 N Post Road. Interviews for teaching positions will be held. If interested individuals cannot attend the December 14th event, they can interview virtually December 15-17. Details can be found here and on our District website under the News section. Available positions can be found here and on our website under the Human Resources tab.

The safety of our students and staff is our highest priority. In the event that information needs to be shared with a Warren staff member regarding someone’s safety, students, parents, and caregivers can either contact their child’s school during school hours or can call our District Safety Tip Line at 317-532-3049 or complete our District Safety Tip Form which is linked on our District website by clicking on the Prevent Bullying tab under Student Resources.

Warren parents and caregivers, as we head into the winter weather months and holidays, we recognize that your needs may change. If you have increased needs, you can reach out to your school’s Family Engagement Liaison, call our outreach hotline at 317-608-0545, or email at with your request.

Thank you for your continued investment in Warren students, schools, and staff, and have a great rest of your week.

Dr. Tim Hanson, Superintendent of Schools for MSD Warren Township
